Midwest Custom Aquarium is a leader in custom acrylic aquarium design and manufacture, focusing on highest quality, superior design, and customer satisfaction. We are located about 120 miles west of the Minneapolis/St. Paul area in Minnesota. We have designed and built high quality acrylic tanks for private homes, offices, public aquariums, and other educational institutions. We have full fabrication capabilities and are able to offer tanks of any size and virtually any shape, limited only by your imagination. The majority are built in our shop, but some large or complicated tanks require on-site fabrication. Midwest Custom Aquariums' tanks are guaranteed for a lifetime against leakage due to manufacturer's defect. Only high quality cell cast acrylics are used in our aquariums. We use Polycast brand acrylics whenever possible in construction of our aquariums. This U.S. made acrylic is widely recognized by reputable aquarium manufacturers and the plastics industry as the highest quality acrylic available.
What sets Midwest Custom Aquarium apart from the rest is our personal attention to our customers and their needs. When you speak with us, we will take all the time necessary to explain anything you have questions about or need recommendations on. Because we are a small company, you will not be transferred around and will not have trouble reaching the person you need to talk to about your inquiry. We are able to make your dream tank affordable when other manufacturers cannot, and specialize in large aquariums and custom shapes. Attention to detail and quality is of high importance. All tank access holes, top edges where serviced from, and overflow corners are rounded over to eliminate sharp edges.
Midwest Custom Aquarium, for the most part, builds all tanks to order. It seems that every demanding hobbyist wants something different done to his/her tank, and we will accommodate those requests as long as they do not interfere with the structural integrity of the tank or will pose filtration problems. We will also build you a "standard" tank upon request. We will supply anything from individual components to complete high-end turnkey systems, installed anywhere in the US.
Midwest Custom Aquarium also builds and supplies all the components you may need for your system, including wet/dry (trickle) filters, mechanical and chemical filters, protein skimmers, a variety of pumps, lights, U.V. sterilizers, refugiums, etc. We do a lot of custom filtration and can make recommendations for you.
